5 out of 5 stars Great sandbox for the price.   September 3, 2010
Carrie Beth
My daughter loves this sandbox. We put it in the garage during the cold months and she plays with it all the time. She is almost 2 and it is the perfect height for her. She is smaller in size so it was great to find a sandbox on legs that she can reach. I reccomend for anyone with small kids!

5 out of 5 stars Very fun for a two-year-old!   August 30, 2010

I gave this sand table to my grandson for his 2nd birthday. He immediately started playing with it and played for 2 hours! He loves it and plays with it daily for long periods of time. I don't know how durable it will be, but I think it will last as long as he will need it. I do like the fact that it's elevated, not ground level, so he doesn't get as dirty. I think its height will also discourages neighborhood cats, even when parents forget to cover the table. It's a great toy for pre-schoolers!

4 out of 5 stars Great except for the leaks   August 28, 2010
Uncle Matt (Raleigh, NC, USA)
After reading many earlier reviews I was prepared for the openings ("leaks") where the bungee-cord straps pass through the lid. It's a design flaw to have open holes in the cover that is otherwise designed to keep rain out. I plugged with sides of the hole with latex caulk hoping to cut off the path of water. The first time I attached the lid, the bungee cord straps stretched and pulled away from the caulk, leaving a slight gap where water could still pass through. I think the caulk method blocked most of the water but I don't see a way to completely seal it. The other downside of this is that the caulk looks sloppy. Otherwise, this is a sturdy table that my 3.5 year old daughter has enjoyed. Also I can't find anything similar on the market -- everything else combines sand and water which is precisely what we're trying to avoid. So for a sand-only table, this is my top recommendation.

5 out of 5 stars Great Table to fill it with whatever you want!   August 24, 2010

I bought this table for my 18 month old son. I wanted to get a sturdy water table (especially the legs) and not a sand and water combo table (muddy water). Also I wanted to just get something he can stand and not have to sit in. I know this is a sand table but it works great as a water table too. Holds about 6 gallons of water and the legs are very sturdy. Holds the water weight great and was sooo easy to set up. You just have to snap in the legs and fill with whatever you want. I would like to try other things during winter like corn, beans, rice or pasta. Great sensory play. The older kids like it too. They just grab a seat right next to it instead of standing over. I highly recommend! Also I ordered the Kaplan Sand wheel factory, Freddy the freestyle swimmer windup toy and the aquaplay water pump from Amazon. They are a great addition the the table.

5 out of 5 stars used for water, AWESOME   August 12, 2010

I looked at so many water tables that had a bunch of toys in them like the pirate ship table with squirt guns and slides etc. I really like to encourage my kids to use their imaginations. I finally saw this one and I knew it was perfect for my 1yo's first birthday gift and that my other kids age 2 and 4 would also enjoy it. Besides using it as a water table we are going to put it in the playroom this winter and fill it with pinto beans or something like that.

Great table, kids LOVE it! Also just the right hieight for all 3 of my kids to play at it comfortably.
