They instructed male pilots, tested planes previously downed in combat, pulled banners for military target practice (at times getting hit by pilots who missed their target), and much more. Now Grandmothers and Great-grandmothers, they are still flying after all these years. Most noted are those who have formed Aerobatic Teams performing precision maneuvers at air shows throughout the world. They continue to show their independence and individuality by wearing high fashion jumpsuits with coordinating boots, helmets, scarves, and jewelry. Each 12” Grannie wears gold pilot wings and comes with a team duffle bag, goggles, and certificate. They worked the farms; worked in the factories and other day to day businesses to keep America strong and alive; worked in aircraft facilities as welders, sheet metal fabricators, and more; and those who claimed they didn’t work, yet took care of children and spent every spare moment doing the fine needlework required for the military patches and emblems.
